Gillian Goodson (Gillian Goodson Designs)

Gillian Goodson

Gillian Goodson is a garden and landscape designer.

It is a joy to spring out of bed each morning when your work is thoroughly in line with your values and part of what you enjoy most in life, from meeting people, designing, running courses, writing or getting your hands dirty.

Known for her enthusiasm, energy and a joie de vivre balanced with a sense of calm, Gillian creates gardens and landscapes that are elegant and understated, or bold and bright depending on her client's wishes.  She has an intuitive eye for detail.  No two projects are the same.  No two clients are the same.

Her designs adopt clean and simple lines complemented by her expert choice of hard landscaping materials and harmonious, sustainable planting.  She incorporates colour, texture, form and, where possible, scent.

Gillian graduated with Distinction in Garden Design from the world-renowned English Gardening School (EGS) based at Chelsea Physic Garden, London.  She was awarded the two top Prizes in her graduation year:  Top Garden Design Student, and Top Plant Portfolio, and one of Gillian's student design projects was chosen to be built by a London-based client.

Supporting Perennial

Perennial is the UK's only charity dedicated to helping people who work in horticulture when times are tough. They have been helping horticulturists in need for over 175 years.

Gillian Goodson Designs are avid supporters of Perennial. Where possible, proceeds from certain courses, workshops and events are donated to Perennial.

Gillian has been actively involved in raising funds for Perennial whether Skydiving over Salisbury Plains, selling raffle tickets at Parties for Perennial, attending their fundraising events, or creating pop-up garden installations to promote their work.
